I am a beginner in French but recently started working for a French company so I would like to learn. I need to learn grammar and conversation. I need improvement at all areas. I would like lessons 1-2 nights a week since I work full time. I am looking for a teacher that can truly immerse me in the language as quickly as possible (assuming that I meet my end of studying requirements) .

I am a member of an international community of volunteers. We are from 8 different countries but we share a common cause. We educate youth about risk behaviors so that they can make good decisions based on good information and we educate their parents so that the parents can do the same.
I have just returned from Paris where I attended a week long symposium. I studied French for three months before I traveled using a Berlitz Program. While I have made improvement, the manner is too slow. I need to progress much more quickly.
The level of understanding I need is beyond conversationa l. I have written a program of intervention and need to translate the work and then be able to instruct others on how to use it in both written and oral communication s translating French to English and English to French.
I interface with an Association in Paris, France. We communicate primarily in writing but are now speaking on the phone more often and another symposium will occur later this year.
I lived in Italy for 4 years when I was in high school (30 years ago), however I have retained what I learned of the Italian language. I also studied Latin in high school as a member of a choir. I have a good ear and a basic understanding of romance languages.
My schedule is flexible as I am a full time volunteer. I am able to devote as much time as necessary to my studies to achieve my goals: fluency in both oral and written communication s. Thank you - Carrie Draher
I am an intense student. I am very motivated and need to learn quickly. I have a great deal to communicate with my associates in France, Canada and South Africa.
