I would like to learn Sanskrit to connect with my Indian heritage. I am at the beginner level and have no experience at all. I would like to someday translate portions of the Bhagavad Gita. I can spend a few hours a week studying on my own and maybe have weekly lessons. I am looking for someone who is patient, understanding , clear and articulate. I also would like to study with someone who is passionate.

I currently have no prior experience with Sanskrit as a language, in essence I am a beginner. My reason for wishing to learn sanskrit is for religious purposes. I am looking for a teacher than is willing to teach me from the beginners level all the way to advanced. I am willing to dedicate atleast 4 hours of one on one training per week, as well as 12 hours of homework study per week. The qualities I wish for in a teacher is patience, and the willingness to guide me with dedication. Thank You.
