We are 2 looking to speak spanish. We travel frequently down south and we still have not learned how to speak spanish. We want to learn how to interact with the staff. Our main objective is conversation skills rather than reading and writing. We would probably be best classified as beginners.
We do not know how each teacher works but I will take whatever time it takes to learn but hopefully sooner rather than later. I am a quick learner. All we ask is that the teacher be precise and professional in their work. We would appreciate conversationa l skills from my teacher. We are situated in the east end.

I have been teaching myself Spanish in a variety of ways including podcasts, iphone apps, reading websites and frequent visits to Spain itself.
I love the country of Spain and would like to live there one day. I am also keen to visit parts of latin america and being able to speak the language would be great there.
I also enrolled on a Spanish intermediate course last year, however I did not find the teaching to be very competent and I took the advice that I should find a 1-to-1 private tutor if I wish to improve at the rate I desire.
I am past the beginner stage but at the start of the intermediate stage. I know plenty of vocabulary, phrases and grammar. I am able to read and write Spanish as well as speak and listen. I believe the aspect of my learning I need to improve on most is talking using different tenses.
I try to do my Spanish whenever I can during a busy schedule. Sometimes however, work can get a bit too much and I go for a while without learning or practicing for a few weeks. This is why I would like an hour or two a week to be able to learn Spanish with a private tutor so that I know I will be learning and practicing regularly. I understand how important it is to be refreshing the language often as well as learning new words and grammar.
I would like a tutor who is either a native speaker or fluent in Spanish. Hopefully they will be friendly and relaxed, but have a range of teaching techniques so that I can progress quickly. I also love Spanish football, so if my tutor enjoyed football also it might be an interesting topic to learn about!

I have been working on a long term goal to walk the camino de Santiago de Compostela with a friend. I am in charge of language, so I need to learn enough Spanish to facilitate the trip so we can fit into local culture and step outside a strictly tourist view of the country. I am fluent in English, French and German and am currently studying the Rosetta Stone Spanish suite on my computer. What I need is an opportunity to speak conversationa l Spanish with native speakers. My level is still quite rudimentary (vocabulary and basic sentence lessons) as I've just started the Rosetta Stone lessons and am not as diligent as I should be about spending 40 minutes a day on it. Classroom lessons would give me an organized scheduled event to focus my learning and stop procrastinati ng. Oh, by the way, the trip is scheduled for September 2011 so I need to get on with this.

Hi. I'm learning Spanish for career advancement. Our family will relocate to Los Angeles next year and I am seeking a career in Law Enforcement OR Social Work.
I hold a Degree in Sociology with a minor in Religious Studies.
I am a beginner at Spanish and I would like to devote six months of intensive study in the mornings as I work as an English Teacher in the afternoons. I can devote 1-2 hrs/ day.
The only preference I have for each lesson is that they are Interesting, educational, and productive.
