I took an 8 week night course for ASL 1, so I know the basics. I LOVE learning the language, so I tried to do a credited course at the collegel level (ASL II), but due in part to my fear of formal education classes, I was floundering. I would do better one on one or even a few people in a class. If you are currently working with a few students, and I could join you in that, that would be great. It is important to me to learn the Ukrainian language because my grandparents on my father's side are the only two in my family who can speak it. I'm proud of my Ukrainian heritage and would like to be able to teach my children.
I am a beginner. I understand how to pronounce a few of the letters of the alphabet.
I need practice in all areas of the language. Ultimately, I'd like to be fluent in the language and be able to read and write Ukrainian.
I am able to devote two days a week to lessons, but can also practice throughout the week during free time.
I am looking for a tutor who can be patient with me, while pushing me to do my best at the same time.

I am corresponding with friends that live in India and will be moving there. I want to be able to have conversation in understanding and speaking Gujarati. I want this to come as a surprise to my friends and the language will also be beneficial when I move there for shopping, working, and living. I am not pushing to read the language, but most anxious to learn to speak and understand.
Evenings after 6:00 p.m. EST usually work best for me as I work full-time. I can discuss how much time to dedicate to the learning based on teacher recommendatio ns for what I want to accomplish, and the cost factor involved.

I want to learn Japanese because it is by far my favorite country. I think the culture is amazing, and I'd love to be able to interact with people in Japan should I ever get a chance to visit. Another reason I want to learn so bad is because I'm into anime, and alot of it is not released here in the U.S.
I'm currently a beginner, knowing only a few words of Japanese, and no sentences, and I need improvement in every area. I have more free time than anything, and I'm available every day from 1pm to 12am.
The qualities I'm looking for in a teacher are patience, easy to understand and good at explaining things. Also someone who doesn't charge alot of money, because that's very tight at the moment.

I am willing to spend as much time on this as I need to become fluent in Afrikaans. My fiancé is from south Africa and all his family lives there. I would like to eventually be able to have a conversation with them in their native language.I am a hard worker so the faster we can ramp up would be wonderful.
