I have been a language teacher in German and French for many years in the UK and now I work as an English teacher in China at a university. I did Spanish at school and last summer I spent a month in Mexico. I found my Spanish came back quite easily and so when I returned to China I bought a book to improve my grammar. I have a month off in January from the 6/1/11 to 7/2/11 and decided to come to Manila because it's easy to get to from China, I have never been before, I need to get some warm sunny weather and I'd like to practise some Spanish. I would like to do an hour or so every day for a month just to get my spoken level up to scratch. I would describe myself as lower intermediate, but I would like to improve my vocabulary in the areas of economics, culture, environmental issues and so on. I would prefer one to one or in a small class if possible. I think 500 to 700 Pesos an hour is reasonable as a lot of my expense will be on accommodation in Manila. Being a teacher in China, it's not easy to find people who speak Spanish so my main focus will be on oral practice.
