I took French in highschool, but since it has been about 5 years I'm rusty. I'm a literature major at UCSD and proficiency in a foreign language literature class is a requirement. The professor will expect all correspondenc e and papers to be in French so communication and grammar is a MUST. However, it has also always been a goal of mine to learn French so that's another factor. I'm looking for a teacher that understands that this is tough, that as a full time student I have a lot on my plate and patience is a must. This is preparation for the future French literature class so expect a long committment. I have a lack of confidence when it comes to learning a language so I need someone to help me get over my fear.

I speak Spanish, English and French, but want to learn Arabic. I have never taken any classes in Arabic, but I'm really good at learning quick. I am most interested in learning to speak the language. I can dedicate up to 4 hrs a day to studying, learning, taking lessons, etc. I am looking for a teacher that will challenge me, who knows how to teach and who is passionate about teaching.
