I would like to learn Thai better because I am going there in February for a would like to be able to speak fluently or at an advanced level with my grandmother. My proficiency level is beginner to elementary but not having the opportunity to speak it often has made me dull, but I am able to pick up the language easily because of my exposure to it my whole life. I feel that I would need help in all aspects of the language in order to become as advanced as I would like. I would be willing to dedicate two lessons a week at least until February. The qualities I am looking for in a teacher are firmness and patience and the ability to explain things in detail.

I am planning to move to Thailand for a couple of years. I have already spent a couple of years there (some years back) and learned some of the basics. This time when I go I want to be able to participate in the culture, rather than just observe. I will be leaving in about six months so want to be proficient by then.
