I have moved to Vietnam two months ago as a Plant Manager and i feel it is my obligation to try and learn the local language. I want to learn Vietnamese for personal reasons. I want to be able to have a casual conversation in Vietnamese. I am a beginner. I know some words but that's about it. I need to improve everything, pronunciation , putting together sentences, etc. This is a long-term objective of mine. I think one hour a week would be sufficient. I'd like to leave a session with materials to practice or homework, whatever is best for me to learn the language. I will need a teacher who is patient as I am 30 years old and do not know any languages similar to Vietnamese so pronunciation in particular will be quite challenging. They should also be able to provide me with homework or self study work to learn when I'm not with them. Preferably I'd like someone who will teach me Vietnamese from the North or teach me based on the way the North speaks.
