I want to go to Korea one day and live there for a little,or be a foreign exchange student,I want to learn it fluently,but that will take time I know for one thing.
I dont really know what level I am,I know a few things in Korean but I'm eager to learn it and willing to spend a ton of time learning.
I need improvement on everything..e specially accent.

I want my teacher to be Korean,nice but someone strict. Not TOO strict. And I want a teacher who can speak English...

I am learning Japanese for personal reasons. I have some knowledge of the language but need more practice so that it will stay with me. My comprehension skills are better than my speaking abilities. I am also learning Japanese through Rosetta Stone, but it can be confusing. I am retired, so I have devoted most of the day everyday to learning the language. This is a priority for me.
I am looking for a tutor who has the same passion on teaching the language as I have on learning the language. A tutor who is patient and willing to stick with me until I have mastered lesson.

Good Afternoon,
My name is Jennifer. I have been studying and competing in Muay Thai for three years. This summer I am living and training at a camp in Kanchanaburi.
The people here are wonderful.... my coaches, caretakers, etc....I only wish that I could communicate more freely and express my ideas more fully.
I would like to learn conversationa l Thai in order to advance my sports training, be more useful around the house, feel more comfortable in social situations, learn and understand more, and maintain friendships.
At this point I do not feel that it is necessary to learn formal grammatical rules or reading/writi ng skills, unless my teacher feels that it would support my speaking and listening abilities.
I am an absolute novice. I can recognize some basic greetings and words for foods that I like, and some sport-specifi c words.
Beginning in September, I can probably commit to a private lesson once a week. Hopefully this will be enough to build some skill. I am willing to study and practice on my own, though my schedule can be hectic at times and I can't guarantee a certain number of hours per week on that.
In a teacher, I am hoping to find someone patient and consistent. I would rather be very comfortable with a small range of useful vocabulary than to breeze through a pre-set curriculum, study words for a week and then forget them, etc. As a student I learn very well through repetition (I do not feel silly singing if it will help my memory!) and conversationa l practice.
