There really is no practical urgency in learning the Italian language. Having been fascinated with the country, it's my ultimate personal dream to be able to live for at least a month in Tuscany, Rome and Venice on or before I turn 40 years old.
I must admit that I do not even have the basics in the Italian Language. What I think might be helpful is that I know basic Spanish.
I do not dream to master the entirety of the language. I will feel very happy to be able to converse comfortably with locals, especially given my plans of living there for a good amount of time.
I'd be happy to dedicate about 2-3 hours, 1 day per week for face-to-face lessons. However, self-study or homework would also be welcome.
A s for teacher preferences, I'd be happy with a friendly and good-natured teacher, male of female, who would be patient enough with me during lessons. Also, I highly appreciate an approach that's organized, but still practical and fun!
