I lived in Slovakia teaching English for two years. I learned the basics and was getting on ok with it. That was three years ago and I seem to have forgotten everything! Am am planning on returning there to live and teach for a while longer at the beggining of January. I aim for eventual fluency but for now would just like to be able to deal with everyday situations. I am prepared to study in my own time but am looking for a native teacher to help me one evening/ afternoon per week.

I have recently relocated to Bratislava and I extremely like the city and the people here. Although I work for a multinational company I still desire to be able to communicate with people outside of my workplace and simply to integrate fully in this beautiful country, Slovakia. I am a beginner, I am starting from scratch. I intend to learn the Slovak language both in oral and written form. Within one year I would like to achieve a quite good level of speaking and writing that is why I dedicate myself for an intensive course either in groups or individually, at least once or twice a week.

I am learning my foreign language, because my daughters father's side of family speak czech & my daughter is 2yrs old and is learning to speak both languages Czech/English she is brought up to be Bilingual. I would like to learn czech language in respect of my daughter i think it would be a great thing to learn. I know how to speak basic words & i am able to speak a short conversation in czech but i would like to improve & learn more as fast as possible.
