Hello! Well I would like to learn Korean because in the near future I want to go to South Korea for a semester abroad. I am studying to be an English teacher and South Korea is the country I wish to teach at. I have some knowledge on the language, but I think I am in the beginner level. I think I need to learn how to write Hanguel, read it and also my grammer. Well basically everything! I want to be able to spend at least 1-2 hours a week learning. I want a teacher that understands the areas I need most help in and is patient with me. Plus I want the teacher to have decent English so I can understand what he/she is saying. I am not that picky, I just really want to learn Korean properly! Thanks.

I'm learning so many languages not only for help in career advancement or choices but also for the sheer pleasure of it. I simply love asian languages and want as many under my belt as possible. I've been at japanese a while longer than the others and as a result am better at it than the rest of them. I'm not sure where i need improvement. I want to dedicate as much time as possible to these lessons. And as for what qualities I'm looking for in a teacher, i suppose just someone easy to get along with who wont let me slack off :).

I wanted to learn Mandarin and Japaneses to benefit me and I want to learn Korean because I would like to live in South Korea after college. I am now focusing on leaning Korean and I would like to begin from the very beginning. I would like to spend at least 1 hour on each lesson. I am an investment professional and have travelled extensively throughout Asia. I have visited Seoul and would like to work there someday in the financial industry. My proficiency level is that of a beginner but I am motivated to learn Korean and have the discipline to make substantial progress in a short time. I have taught myself the Korean alphabet. I can dedicate 5-7 hours a week studying but will do more if that is what it takes to learn the language well enough to conduct business. I would like a teacher that has a well thought out plan for teaching me and can also instruct me on cultural issues of importance in Korea that will assist me when I travel and live there.
