I would like to learn Mandarin for personal and career advancement.
Every year we visit our suppliers in Hong Kong and Mainland China and I woudl like to be able to speak to them directly without using an interpreter.
It is very important to me to be able to communicate with our Chinese friends to show them respect.
I am a beginner but I learn fast and would like to start at the beginning and become totally proficient by the end of 2011.
I need someone close to the Johannesburg Northern suburbs so that I can have lessons at least once a week.
The most important thing is that the area is not too far away

I am learning Chinese for future use. I see that the economy of China us growing increasingly everyday, and I wish to be competent in the event that I work in China one day. I would say I am at an intermediate level in speaking Chinese, but I am still far from being called skilled at speaking in Chinese. My grammar and proper use in conversation is what I need improvement on. I am willing to dedicate one and a half hours per session for as long as my teacher feels I need to continue learning. I am looking for a teacher who can show me what each Chinese character means and how it applies to sentences.
