i have taken 1 continuing ed. class, but it didn't help me out. i also have the Living Language course on c.d.. i have been trying to go through that. i am at the beginning level.
i have intrest in learning italian because i have a very close friend in italy. an i would like very much to speak with her at one point with out an interpreter. i also would like to learn italian for my own accomplishmen t and gratification . i would try to dedicate at least 1 hour 5 days a week. i am looking for a teacher who will be in tune with my learning skills, but will also push me to do better. someone to whom i can be accountable. i am very serious about learning. it means a great deal to me.

I am a college student outside of Dallas and am very interested in learning a foreign language. I am interested in several languages (Italian, Portuguese, German, Mandarin -> in that order). My college does not offer courses in Italian, which is what I would like to learn the most. I would prefer a teacher who can provide lessons in person and online. I believe that I would learn the language best by speaking in person and understanding pronunciation , and then reinforcing that with home study. I know almost nothing in the language, I am very much a beginner, but am very eager to learn!

My daughter (12 years) and I are interested in learning the Italian language. As Italians, we are interested in learning conversationa l Italian in hopes to travel there and be able to speak to others. As for time to dedicate, I think after speaking to an instructor, I can better judge the time commitment.
