I want to learn Chinese (Mandarin) for career advancement and because I also want to work in Singapore, maybe next year. This will be my first time to learn the language so I am a beginner. Since I am working during weekdays (once a month on saturdays) I am only free during weekends and willing to dedicate my free time to my language lessons. I am looking for a comprehensive language lesson and a patient teacher who is not intimidating to beginners like me.

Hi,
I would like to study Mandarin mainly due to my work. I travel to Fujian a lot. Being a Japanese, I can read & write Chinese characters but speaking & listening are horrible. I took a placement test at a Chinese language school a few weeks ago and was told my reading & writing skill is at intermediate level but speaking & listening skill is elementary level. I would like to learn conversationa l Chinese for an hour on one or two days per week.
