It'll be interesting to challenge myself to learn a new language at this age. I want to be able to connect with different cultures but I want to start with Korean language and its people. I visited Korea not long ago and it was a struggle not to be able to communicate. It was a fascinating place and would want to be able to experience it more.
I'm a beginner and would want a teacher who can be flexible and understanding of the predicaments of someone who's just starting to learn a new language. I'm not sure if I'm still comfortable learning in a classroom environment or something like that. So I hope I can find someone that I can relate to like a 'friend' and would take off the pressure and just enjoy it.

Why: I would like to eventually get a job in business in Korea. However, for now, I would like to be able to speak fluidly in Korean without having to stop and speak English. I would like to be able to understand sentence structure a lot better, and I would like to clear up some grammar points that I can't quite understand. I've never taken a formal class before, so I look forward to getting a lot out of a lesson.
Pr oficiency level: I can express myself quite well. I'd say I'm at an intermediate level. I can read and write in Korean. I lived with Korean international students back in college for 4 years, so I can converse at a decent level. However, I frequently revert to English when I can't think what I want to say. Either that, or I just don't say anything at all.
Areas for improvement: Grammar, sentence structure (most importantly, sentence building).
Time: I would like to talk to you about what would be a good time frame to look at. Once-twice per week? I'm not the richest person in the world, so I would like to not spend too much money on this.
Qual ities: I'm looking for a teacher who can speak English well enough to a point that they can explain some grammar points I would like to seek clarification on in a way that will help me understand. I seek knowledge and patience.

Hi, I want to learn Korean language because I'm going to live in Seoul, so only my english understanding won't be enough to help me. I have already started a self-learning study about a year ago, but I don't know if I'm still a beginner. I want a Korean teacher who can help to, speacialy, speak and understand Korean. I wish to learn Korean and Japanese to widen my abilities to communicate with more people from different parts of the world. I would like to move to Asia in about 4 years to teach English.
M y proficieny level is that of a complete beginner wishing to learn a new language.
The areas in which I would like to improve would be reading, writing (vocabulary and grammar), Listening and speaking.
I would like to dedicate a minimum of one lesson per week and then about 3-4 hours of study on top of that if possible per week away from lessons.
T he qualities i am looking for in my tutor is someone who is patient and willing to teach also someone who could help me learn from the beginning with the aim of the TOPIK and JLPT exams.
