I want to learn Korean and Japanese because I'm very interested in foreign cultures, especially these two.
After I finish the current college I'm attending this year, I'm intending on visiting either Seoul or Osaka, depending on my funds.
I am a beginner, i know a few words in either language, but not of much use.
I want to be able to effectively communicate with either culture as well as read the languages.
I 'm willing to dedicate as much time as the teacher allows!
I just want a teacher that can communicate well.

i am gujarati by heritage and understand gujarati but would like to gain fluency. my children and i have been taking lessons for about 1.5 years in reading, writing and speaking gujarati but we have moved to virginia and lost our teacher in the move. i would like to continue lessons. i need a teacher who is patient and willing to be flexible with lesson times. we are dedicated and have been doing well in our studies so far, we have learned the alphabet and have been practicing reading and writing. i speak the language with my children but not as well as i would like and need help with grammar and expanding my fluency.

I have never taken Tigrinya before. I want to learn to be able to provide a voluntary community service to Eritrean imigrants in my home town of Philadelphia. I have been interested in learning Mandarin Chinese for some time now. I have been trying to learn this language on my own for a few years off and on. I am mainly learning just for fun, but have dreams of some day traveling to or living in a country where Mandarin is the common language. I already know most of the basics, but need help in developing more everyday vocabulary and with conversationa l skills. I would like to take lessons at least a couple of times a week, depending on the distance of the school/teache r from where I live/work.
