I am learning Hindi on my own at the beginner level, and I know how to write in devanagari script. I spent some time living in Northern India, and hope to return speaking Hindi. My focus is on learning to converse, therefore, I would like to meet in person once or twice a week for 30 minutes to an hour.

I'm a complete beginner. I'd love to learn for the language experience and possibly for work in the future. I'd like to dedicate at least three hours a week to learning. The qualities I'm looking for in a teacher is someone who is personable and of course who can speak Hindi very well. I have studied Hindi on my own and attended a class at Stanford. I am still a beginner.
I want to learn Hindi because I travel every year to HP and am working with a small group of Indian women who are Buddhist nuns and trying to learn English. I like to be able to speak enough survival Hindi to get around.
I' d like to spend most of my time in conversation.
I need to be able to practice on my own so I need some multimedia training. I am over 50 and learning a new language is very difficult. I can read Hindi but handwritten Hindi is very hard to read.
