Hello, my name is Richard. I would like to learn Mandarin for several reasons. Career advancement is one reason but more importantly Atlanta has become an asian melting pot and many Chinese are failing to learn proper English. Also my grandkids are being urged to learn another language. The common thought nowdays is to learn Chinese. It would be helpful if I could learn at the same time as my grandchildren .
I would be a beginner. I am 56 and probably would not learn as fast as someone younger but I am very intelligent and a hard worker. I am available every day before 3:00 pm. I would prefer an older teacher either 1 to 1 or in a small class. I would also prefer a female teacher as they are usually more patient. I would accept any age or gender.

I was learning to speak mandarin before this but due to some college issues the teacher left and the class was cancelled.I want to learn to speak mandarin due to career advancement and to communicate with my friends in their language better.i am a beginner in speaking mandarin language as i was manage to learn in my class for 2 weeks only.my conversation and understanding needs improvement. i need approximately 3 months to improve myself if its possible. I hope my lessons will be fast and effective..
