I have a minor in Spanish. I am a 6th grade Spanish teacher. I need to learn how to speak more fluently and understand how to structure my sentences when speaking. I am a beginner and have not studied any Mandarin.
I am personally interested in learning Chinese. This could potentially be related to career advancement, but is also just of personal interest. I will travel to China late in 2008.
I would like to learn basic grammar, but put more focus on pronunciation and conversation.

My profession requires me to travel 4 days/week aroudn the world - however, I understand the imperative to learn quickly and am willing to give significant chunks of time to working with an instructor Fri, Sat, and Sun. Weekend availability is a must and I would appreciate the opportunity to meet in my home (I am willing to pay a 10-20% hourly premium for this service. I have taken off work through the first of the year and am looking for intensive instruction between now and Jan 1, 2008.
