I would like to learn Punjabi because I've grown up being Indian all my life, but never really devoted myself fully to the culture or language. I've made a choice to dedicate several months or more to polish the intermidiate knowledge of the language I already have. I want embrace myself and my cultural background.
My proficiency level probably around intermediate. I understand most verbal conversations but have trouble speaking the language. I speak in broken fragments without cohesive sentences.
I am looking for a teacher who is patient with me, and understands the dedication I have. I would also like a teacher to challenge me with assignments. A person who is as committed as I am.
I would like my punjabi to improve dramatically in speaking and listening.

1. Possible career advancement, but personal reasons include being able to communicate, and to understand poetry and spiritual books written in Punjabi. 2. I am a beginner but know the script and some vocabulary. 3. Need lessons/pract ice in conversation, reading, and grammar. 4. At this time, I could study 2 hours per day, M-F, plus two classes a week; however, I don't think I can afford the fees as they seem high. 5. Someone who can match language acquisition techniques to the student's manner of learning.

Hi there,
My name is Telithia Ha. I am a year 10 student at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart colledge in Enfield. I am choosing my subjects for next year and wish to learn a language in year 11. My school only offers Vietnamese and Italian but i am more interested in learning Punjabi. I am interested because i choreograph dances part time with my friend and our particular genre is Bhangra (It would be nice to understand more clearly what were dancing to).
I am interested for a full year commitment and it will replace one of my core subjects in school.
