Hello,
I have always been very interested in learning a third language - I was fortunate to be born into a french (dad) - english (mom) family speaking both from a very early age. I have taken a evening spanish course at algonguin several years ago and enjoyed it. Now I would like to continue but feel that I would progress faster in a one on one environment.
I am semi-retired and I am researching retirement in different central american countries where although english is spoken, speaking spanish would certainly be regarded as the correct and polite thing to do - and fun too. Being semi-retired will also permit me to spend several hours a week on this project.
I am interested in the technique being offered by this teacher because it seems more geared to a conversationa l spanish and I believe I will be more encouraged to perservere in my studies. Success is a very big motivator for me. I also require a patient teacher, with a bit of a sense of humor.
