I do not have any prior experience in learning languages other than english. I am interested in learning other languages as a hobby and so when I go travelling next year I will be able to communicate more effectively in another country. I am looking for a tutor for private lessons, who has been immersed in the culture of the language they are teaching. I do not wish to be advanced in speaking another language, but good enough to make conversation and be able to read and understand the language.

I am wanting to learn Afrikaans as I have an Afrikaans boyfriend and I would like to be able to understand his family and friends, and also speak myself. I am currently a beginner in the language. I need improvement in the pronunciation of the language. I am willing to spend the amount of time per week as advised by the teacher.
