I want to learn the vietnamese language because I am planning to marry and form my family in Vung Tau soon. My girlfriend has been trying hard to learn the English language in order to communicate with me. When I go back to Singapore for my final year of studies, I wish to do my part to close up the communication gap between us, and also for our future family..
I am currently at the very 'beginner' level, I am not familiar with the pronounciatio n concept of the vietnamese language. You can consider me a '0%' for my proficiency level.
Tim e able to dedicate: 1.5hr/day, 7 days/week.
I am looking for a tutor with structured lessons to help beginners pick up the language effectively. I hope I can communicate fluently like a local vietnamese in 1 year time.

The reason for me learning Vietnamese is because i wish to invest in a few businesses in Vietnam (Saigon, Hailong, Hainoi, maybe Dalat)
I have been to Vietnam many times for market study and cultural appreciation. The one thing that makes it difficult for me to invest is the lack of strong Vietnamese language skills. While we do have a translator to help with the various dialects, i am very very keen to pick up the language in a structured manner as well as appreciate the culture from a layman perspective.
So not only am i looking at learing business Vietnamese, i also want to focus on learning how the ordinary person in the villages or streets of HCMC speaks.
Curr ently i have only an understanding of a few Vietnamese words (greeting and thank you)i can't converse at all!
I and a business partner (2 gentlemen) would like to spend 1 - 2 hours every weekend for at least 6 mths to learn conversationa l Vietnamese.
We are looking for a dedicated teacher who is both patient as well as effective in teaching Vietnamese.
