I am a student at Evergreen State college in Olympia, WA, and I am hoping to pursue an individual contract study abroad program in Iran in the spring or next fall. I would like to learn enough Farsi before I embark on my journey so I will be able to get by in Iran. I am also interested in taking more advanced classes upon arrival. I am half Iranian and grew up hearing the language a little bit but I cannot speak or understand it at all.

I would like to learn to speak Persian (Farsi). I am american and my husband is from Laghman, Afghanistan and I would like to learn to speak and understand Farsi better. I have no prior experience in Farsi, but I have a little knowledge in Arabic. The reason I want to learn the language is because I want to join the peace corp. I want to help the people in that region. I would like to invest three days into my learning and fifty minutes per class. I would like my tutor to be very serious and dedicated in teachng this language.

Salom! I am very interested in learning the Persian language! I am a beginner and would love to be able to communicate with my boyfriend and his family in Farsi. I think that it is such a beautiful language and it would be such an honor to be able to conversate with my boyfriends' family and friends in their native language. I am a student, but will have a lot of time during the summer, and a few hours a week, during the school year to dedicate to learning the language. I would like to receive lessons from someone who is passionate about teaching this amazing language and is willing to help me understand more about the Persian culture. Merci! -Leslie
