I spent 6 months in Taiwan learning Chinese before heading out and travelling Asia and Europe. It's aid throughout this period was phenomenal, as anywhere I went there was someone who could speak either English or Chinese. I finished 2 Levels at a University in Taiwan, Wenhua Daxue, but since then have become less proficient as university has begun. I would like to re-kindle my Chinese to become proficient and mannered in order to communicate with friends and colleagues back in Asia who I know and have formed relationships with. I could only dedicate perhaps two hours a week to my studies, and am looking for a teacher who could shape my speaking and reading abilities for starters.
