I shall be in Athens from 30th September until October 7th 2008. I am a TEFL teacher here in Totnes. I want Greek conversation in exchange for English conversation, every day for about 1 hour (or negotiable). This will be a straight exchange with no costs involved. Can you help me to arrange this? My Greek is above elementary level. I have been studying Greek for many years and love Greece very much. I also sing Rebetika songs with a 'Greek' band here in UK (we are all English with a passion for the music!).

I am of Greek extraction and spend several months a year in Crete. I possess the rudiments of the modern Greek language, however, I would like to improve my ability to converse and my understanding of Greek grammar.
To this end I would like to spend 2 hours a day, several days or more a week in private lessons.
I would like a teacher who has experience teaching grammar as well as conversation and who will use teaching plans tailored to my specific situation and goals.

I am very keen to earn modern greek. i am at a beginner level but am willing to put in lots of work to benefit from my tutor lessons. i visit Greece on a regular basis and plan on moving over there one day. i am currently coming towards the end of high school, and am due to begin college in september. i reason i want to learn greek is so i can communicate with the locals there and not be treated like a tourist ( i also want to impress my greek friends !! ). tutor can be male or female, any age and does not need to be a qualified teacher.
