Greetings,
I am dedicated to learning Amharic. My language goals include fluently speaking, reading, writing and understanding Amharic. I have been to Ethiopia twice and have picked up some phrases and a few vocabulary words, however when I am there all my friends want to practice their English with me, so unfortunately I never seem to have the opportunity to be fully emerged in the language. I have purchased Amharic language learning tools, created flashcards, and regularly listen to Amharic music all in hopes to begin to understand the language more and begin to speak it. I would like a trained instructor who has successfully taught a non-Amharic speaker how to speak fluently. I understand that the speed and skill in which I learn Amharic all depends on my dedication and effort, so I am ready to move to the next step and actually begin to converse in Amharic. Hopefully when I return to Ethiopia in 2016 I will impress all my friends with my new language skills.

I have been in Ethiopia for personal knowledge improvement on local culture and habits, I'm interested in history, religion and agriculture. I work for an international company and I may decide in the next future to move to Ethiopia and work there for some time. I know few words and basic sentences but I don't know grammatics and I would need to start from the lowest level. If no professional teacher is available also somebody of native language I could meet once a week for a couple of hours would be great. Thanks
