I am 1/4 Chinese and when i was younger, I took classes. However, I have already forgotten most of what was taught back when I was 4-6 years old. I consider myself as a beginner.
I want to learn this foreign language for two primary reasons: (1) I would need to communicate fluently in Chinese for our family business in the future and (2) a foreign language is needed for the Foreign Service Exam, something that I want to pursue.
I can dedicate most of my time to my language lessons. I am already graduating from UP diliman this april. I have (10am-12noon, or 3:30-5pm) Mondays to Fridays free.
I want my teacher to be patient and at the same time, very supportive. Study materials will help very much. My teacher should also be fun-loving and relaxed in teaching the lessons.
