I¡¦m an absolute beginner in Korean, I¡¦ve never had any lessons in the language but am very interested in learning the language.
I want to learn Korean for my own leisure, as something outside of what I study at university and because I plan to travel to Korea some time in the next few years.
I would like to learn Korean from all aspects, such as writing, speaking, listening, reading and also learn about the Korean culture.
I¡¦ d like at least a/an one to two hour lesson once a week, but I¡¦d also spend time to do some self-learning (in addition to the lesson).
I hope to find a teacher who is understanding and patient, but who will also be able to push me to achieve the most I an capable of.

I believe I am a beginner in Chinese, Mandarin. I have been learning it with my school. I have moved schools and my current school does not offer Chinese. Over the two and a half years that I've been learning it, I've enjoyed learning the language and the culture, so I would like to continue outside of school. At the moment, I'm trying to find a suitable school that will me assist me further in my knowledge of Chinese in all areas, of speech, grammar, etc. In my situation I'd probably only be able to attend once a week. I'm looking for a teacher who makes the environment in the class fun and enjoyable like my former teachers.

Dear Potential Teacher
I would like to enroll with you to learn at beginners level, Chinese Mandarin.
I have booked a grand tour of China, departing 18 March 2009. My travels will encompass journeys from Beijing to Shanghai for 28 days. I have a deep respect for the culture and traditions in China and will try and absorb as much of this culture during my time in China.
During this period of time I would like to be able to converse with the locals on a daily basis to cover normal situations such as discussing traditions, seeking directions and purchasing items in markets and stores.
I am a Business Manager of 56 years old and a quick learner. I am prepared to dedicate, 5 or 7 days a week of recommended session times to ensure basic learning of the language prior to trip, I am prepared to pay in advance for lessons.
H aving a dedicated teacher is very important to me and being in a Live - in person environment of a small size group is the most beneficial way of learning for myself. the Language School offers that service which I am applying for.
Thank you for your consideration in assisting me to learn Mandarin. I hope to hear from a potential teacher soon to confirm lessons.
