I want to learn Chinese in hopes of aiding me in my future career. I am working towards becoming an interpreter. My initial goal is to learn 2 languages, Chinese is goal one.
I have a small idea of Mandarin, but I would not say much at all. I will need improvement in grammar and conversation. I've had a small preview from my Chinese friend I stay in contact with. I also have many Taiwanese friends to chat with.
I am simply looking for aid in learning Chinese. I am ambitious and really want to learn. If I can afford lessons, I know I can excel quickly.
I am not positive how much time I should dedicate to the lessons, but I am willing to do at least 5 hours weekly. I am not sure how much is typical in a week.

Currently, I am looking to learn Mandarin Chinese. I have always had an interest in China, its languages, culture, and history. I have never studied Mandarin, but I am interested and am able to put in 1-2 hours of lessons a day. My desire is to learn how to speak, listen, read, and write. I am looking for a teacher who is willing to talk and invest the time and resources necessary for an adequate lesson.
