I want to learn how to speak and understand the language Chinese, Mandarin so I will be able to have an edge or should I say an extra point from the other applicants when I apply for work in the near future after I graduate college. I'm a beginner and has no knowledge about the language but I'm very willing and eager to learn. I don't have an idea for how long the lessons will be but I'm willing to be enrolled 'til I really have already learned how to speak the language. I prefer a teacher who does not waste time in teaching and teaches in a way that a student will learn faster but still very keen. I want a teacher who can speak fluent english or better yet Filipino.

I want to learn Mandarin for career advancement. I can speak a little bit of Mandarin because we were taught Mandarin in school. I can also read and write some chinese. The only problem I have is conversation. I always have a hard time conversing in Mandarin.
The quality that I'm looking for a teacher is to be fluent in Mandarin and if the teacher can teach me Chinese grammar, it's better. :)

I want to improve on both grammar and my converstion skills. I prefer week end classes since I have work from Monday to Saturday, night shift is also applicable. I'm quite convinced that Mandarin is a very practical language to learn and that it can be used for career advancement. I'm also surrounded by a few Chinese friends and I thought it would also be useful for social networking.
