SIGN LANGUAGE
I want to learn sign language first of all for the ability to assist those who are deaf or hard of hearing. In my religious organization we have a sign language group that I would like to join and want to able to sign so that I may be able to communicate with such like ones. I also have three children that I feel will also benefit from learning ASL and also assist in learning and growth development.
My proficiency level is only with the alphabet. So my improvement is from the foundation up.
As far as time is concerned I am willing to commit to twice a week for classes and 4-6 hours weekly of personal study.
In the teacher I am looking for a person who enjoys teaching someone who loves to share his/her knowledge and willingness to answer questions.
SPANISH
I want to learn spanish first of all because being of hispanic background I feel the need to be able to speak my language. Also I also have three children that I feel will also benefit from learning spanish and also assist in learning and growth development. Finally as far as marketability for for my career speaking a second language will help me to diversify my abilities.
My proficiency level is basic. I have between a 30-50 word vocabulary. So my improvement is from the foundation up.
