My husband and I are adopting a 3 year old daughter from Xiamen City, China and would like to be able to communicate basic words and phrases in Mandarin.
We are beginners.
We are only interested at this time in conversation and since we are traveling in August we need to focus on basic words and phrases that will make our daughter's transition easier. We have a list of words/phrases suggested by other adoptive parents.
1 -2 hours per week with a teacher and then practice on our own another 3-4 hours each week.
We need someone who is happy to help complete beginners in their 40's. Someone who can meet with us at night or on weekends.
