I currently have a beginner knowledge of Turkish (alphabet and numerical)
N ot yet conversationa l, but have a grounding in basic language. I have family that live in Istanbul and also wish to start a business that will require good Turkish language skills. I'd like to spend 1 to 2 nights per week learning and will most likely be travelling to Turkey in November this year. I'd like a teacher who is relaxed and enjoys a mix of theory and practical. Conversation is important.

Hi my name is Dan and I am living here in Istanbul turkey - Kuledibi actually near Tunel.
I have been here for a year and a half, I travel a lot so I have found it difficult to committ to a Turkish language programme. However, needs must and i cannot get by with my basic Turkish anymore, I want and need to be able to have conversations etc. And I can only make that next step with a structured turkish language programme.
I would like to have 3x3 hour lessons per week for the next 6 months and then look at how things are progressing

My mom is Turkish and unfortunately I never learned it. I have heard it a lot growing up but I am still a beginner. I am interested mostly in gaining conversationa l skills, but also writing hopefully. I would like to advance fast so depending on the cost of each class I will decide on the frequency of the classes.. I am looking for a teacher that can make the class exciting and pleasurable but also make sure that I do my hw, so she/he should be a little intimidating.
