I'm learning because I hope to go back to korea and stay for an extended period. I am a beginner. I need help in all areas. I'd like to dedicate at least 5 days a week for 1 hour. The qualities i look for in a teacher are patience, can articulate clearly, and a strong passion for teaching.

I love learning languages but at this point my life I find a lot of interest in learning and speaking east asian languages. I speak basic Korean and I can read and write, I would just really like to practice my speaking and grammar. I haven't studied Japanese enough to read so my level is very low.
The thing is this.. It's been very hard to find somebody willing to spend enough time to teach because most people are busy and teach as a side. I would like to dedicate as much time as possible. For Japanese, I would say about 12 hours a week but it'd only be for a month and if I do well in understanding and seem to make progress pretty well then the time would be minimized. For Korean, I would spend as much time as possible as well, it's hard to say how many hours but in a week meeting 3/4days is good.
I would like my teacher to be confident and challenging. It'd be good to have a teacher who is willing to spend time as well.
Also, a teacher who can also be a friend would be great!

After traveling to Croatia I became very interested in learning to speak the language so that i am able to travel back to Croatia and throughout the Balkans with the ability to communicate more efficiently. I am considering finding a study abroad or work abroad program in order to spend a significant amount of time in Croatia. After spending a couple weeks there i fell in love with the people i met, the places i went to, and the beautiful coast line. The moment i left i was absolutely sure that i wanted Croatia to have a continuing place in my life. My proficiency level currently with the Croatian language is very beginner, i picked up a few phrases but would like to extend my ability to speak the language to an advanced level. I would like to dedicate a couple hours a week to lessons and am looking for a teacher who is passionate and willing to help me achieve my goal.

I am a first year student in college in New York City, and am majoring in French and Spanish. I am already fluent in these two languages, and languages and linguistics in its entirety is the most active and passionate interest I have. I have explored many languages, and know a small amount of many other than French and Spanish, yet I have for quite some while genuinely desired to learn another language as well as I have with the first two. I have learned a lot on my own, but I feel that having a teacher would be very beneficial. In Polish, I am a beginner, but I learn very quickly and am very willing to work hard to attain a more advanced level. I would like to dedicate at least an hour a week to lessons.
