I have no proficiency at all in the Chinese (Mandarin) language. I would like to learn the language for career advancement. I am willing to take lessons after office hours on weekdays or anytime on weekends. In terms of qualities I am looking for in a teacher, he or she should be someone who knows how to assess the learning capability and style of the student and adapt to it accordingly. She should also be patient and structured in terms of delivering his/her lessons.

I want to learn a foreing language, aside from English, I thought I'd sign up for Mandarin lessons. I am aware of the difficulty of the subject mainly because of Chinese characters, yet I am really interested.
