I am learning for two resons ,one i wanted to learn for many years as a self achievement and will by accident advance career a little.
I am a beginner working on self study with 'new practical chinese' books.
I would need help in all areas i think , i would like to read,write,sp eak fluently.

I am going into the field of the music business and want to enter the Chinese market. My mom is chinese and my father is scottish. I think being able to speak fluent Manderin from a business and heritage perspective is something very important to have. I also would love to be able to speak to my grandmother.
Unfortuna tely I have no experience in Manderin and only understood a little when I was younger.
I would like to dedicate this summer until University begins.
I would like a teacher that is very hands on and is able to use english and basic scenerios to help better my understanding .

I am studying mandarin to secure a job as a foreign service officer with the united states state department. I took 2 mandarin lessons through the Charlotte Language Academy this year and have an elementary understanding of the language. I need practice in conversation and learning characters.
