I am interested In learning Korean and Japanese. I worked in Japan for two years and began learning Beginner Japanese. I can do some simple sentences and know a little Hirigana and Katakana.

I'm going to Japan in the summer of 2012 for a study abroad program, and I have to be able to be somewhat proficient in the language (both speaking and writing). I know literally only a few words, so I need major help. Right now, college and working is a major part of my life, so I can meet about every two weeks until about the end of the Fall 2011 semester. After that, I can switch to every week.

I have wanted to learn Japanese for quite awhile now. I have a great interest in learning about the Japanese culture. Admittedly, I know very little. I would like to put this skill, once acquired, towards a career as well.
My level is definitely a beginner. I want to learn all I can and, hopefully, be fluent in it one day.
