I would like to learn Mandarin to further my career and work with Asian business persons. I have been to Beijing and lived in Singapore during my career moves but found that the communication barrier was the most important one.
I would class myself as a beginner with only Hello and Thank You in my Mandarin vocab skills.
I need to be able to read, write and converse in Mandarin
2 hours a week although i work shift work 4 days on and 4 days off.
I am looking for freindly teacher with cultrual knowledge as well as the ability to teach.

We will be relocating to Shanghai this summer and I want to learn Chinese in order to be able to do my shopping there and to interact with the people of the country. I am an absolute beginner and am looking for 4 hours per week face to face.
My teacher should teach me the basics and useful phrases to use when interacting with people who speak only Chinese.
