My proficiency level is beginner. My husband is Moroccan and I would love to learn to speak his native language. I need improvement in all areas as I only know about 3 words. I am a beginner in learning Mandarin Chinese but would like to learn it as it is one of the most widely spoken languages. This would also help me in career developement as I am in the Coast Guard and occasionally come across Mandarin speakers. I would be willing to dedicate 3-5 hrs a week to lessons. Qualities I look for in a teacher is someone that can teach practical uses of the language instead of just text book grammar and is someone younger who I can relate to better.

My name is Gil. I am married to a Brazilian woman and I would like to learn how to speek the language so I can talk to her in Portugues sometimes, and to be a ble to comunicate with my inlaws sinse they speek no English. I have started to pick up the language on a very basic level by listening to my wife's conversations with others, and by asking some questions here and there. However, I am far from being able to conduct a fluent conversation, and I would like to change that. My needs as far as learning are basic to begin with since I do not need to master the language for professonal reasons, but aultimatly I will like to learn how to read and write in an advanced way. I am a college studant so my time is limited. I believe I can start with 1 or 2 meetings a week. I am looking for a teacher that will make my learning expirience fun while teaching me in a comfurtable pace.
