I want to learn Portuguese as a surprise birthday present for my boyfriend who is Portuguese. His birthday is at the end of October, so I would like to at least get the basics down by that time.
I am certainly a beginner and would need to start with the most basic instruction.
The amount of times I would be able to meet per week would depend on the cost of each lesson. I would like to meet at least twice a week for a one hour session each time, if possible.
I am looking for a teacher who is organized, experienced and patient.

Learning Russian has always been a life long goal of mine. I recently graduated college with a degree in International Relations and have previously studied French. While in college I extensively studied Russian/Sovie t and Eurasian politics. Though I have studied much about Russia I feel the next step is to actually learn the language if I want to puruse of career in International Relations and contiuned study of the region.
I am a true beginner. I recently bought Rosetta Stone, but I would like more intense study. I am willing to dedicate studying an hour a day and meeting twice a week.
In a teacher, I am looking for someone with an enthusiasm for teaching, but also loves Russian culture, politics and current events.
