I have not started yet but I am very determined to learn Pastho. My motivations are mostly because of our involvement in Afghanistan.
I would be able to dedicate 5 hours a week minimum and will aim to increase this as we go along.
I have spent a year in China and practice Mandarin as opportunity will allows with my Chinese colleagues at work. I am fluent in English and French. I have retained my Armenian from interaction with family.
I want to focus on verbal/conver sation Pashto but welcome suggestions from the teacher.
I prefer in person but I would like to discuss more with the teacher

I am a beginner in this language although I live with an pukhtoon family, so I have picked up phrases, words, etc. I mostly can understand what they are talking about but I can't decipher every single word they are saying. I would like to learn this language because I plan to travel to afghanistan and pakistan in the near future. I'm a university student so I have classes to study for and read on. However, I'd like to spend as much time as I can to get to learn this beautiful language. I can make the letter combinations easily for kh, gh, rr, dd, tt etc, so that's not an issue, the issue is just learning vocab and grammar skills I guess. I would like my teacher to be pakhtoon so that I can learn from someone who knows the language since a young age. Preferably the jalalabadi accent I'd prefer not to have somone who speaks kandahari accent.
