Growing up I've always wanted to learn Japanese and so when I found out about exchange programs, I got excited. Although even though now it may be a little bit too late, I am now trying to learn as much Japanese until next year, so I can go to a Japanese school for year 12. I only know a few words and have no clue on how to keep a conversation going. Any kind of help would be amazing. I am willing to study for long periods of time, but it may be a little hard since I'm always tired but I am quite desperate to learn. It would be nice to have a teacher that isn't too strict but sort of firm enough to have high expectations of me, even if its to give me homework then I'm definitely willing to do it! Calling people does make me a bit nervous because I have social anxiety and just calling people worry me but I'm trying to gain my confidence and trying to get out of my comfort zone.

I am learning Japanese for personal interest as I am interested in the culture and I prefer travelling in the countryside where English is not so common as in the cities. I am an advanced beginner and able to read and write Hiragana and Katakana and have been studying the textbook, “Mina no Nihongo.I need to have a lot of conversation and grammar practice.
I am an Englishman currently living in Australia and would like to return to Japan in the Autumn. I am seeking private lessons 2-3 hours a day 5 days a week for one month. I don’t want to go to Tokyo or any of the big cities, however I can be flexible if I found the right teacher. I need a tutor who can speak English to explain the grammar and also to be patient with me as Iam not an academic though I read a lot of books.
