I'm learning Norwegian to help with a doctorate I'll be starting in September comparing land policy in Norway and Scotland at Strathclyde and Oslo universities. I have tried a couple of course like Pisleur, but I am basically a beginner. I need to be able to read academic Norwegian articles. I can spend up to 5 hours a week to learn. This is a bit tough for me because I am a good speaker but less keen on grammar! I also have a sense of humour and hope a new teacher wont be completely serious!

My proficiency level is very basic.
From August this year I will be doing a voluntary year abroad as part of my course at University and it will probably be necessary that I learn Norwegian in order to get a job so I can properly finance the year.
I will be able to dedicate at least 14 hours a week to learning the language and mainly want to be taught how to communicate with native speakers at a reasonable level. The focus is not so much on grammar but more on fluent verbal conversations . As finance is obviously an issue I desire a tutor who has a programme geared around self-study, but can give a good input when required.

Hi i have been working in Norway as a Chef in the oil industry for approx 8 years now.
I feel now is the time i need to speak Norwegian to help better my potential career in Norway and speaking the language would i think help this.
I have picked up a few words over the years,mostly food for obvious reasons!
I would be classed as a beginner.
No t sure how much these lessons cost but will review any offers put to me for consideration .

Hello,
I'm would like to find someone in my area who could help me with learning Norwegian. I live in an area where there were many Norwegians stationed here during the war and many stayed on and settled down. I know some basic Norwegian but need help with the grammar,pronu nciation and conversation.
I'm a mature woman and my daughter who is in her early thirties would also like to learn the language with me.
We want to learn this language mostly for personal reasons as I have relatives who live in Norway and we are planning to visit them often. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
