I want to be able to converse in Marathi and Hindi. Both my parents are Maharashtrian , and I can understand most spoken Marathi. However, speaking Marathi is much more difficult for me. I am unable to formulate sentences, and I don't know when to use the formal or informal pronouns. Grammar is difficult for me as I do not know the Marathi letters. I'm willing to dedicate as much time as needed to be able to converse without difficulty.

I have recently taken a position with Avalara as the director of a department with 20+ employees who work in Pune, India. To be a more effective leader for this team, I feel compelled to learn their native language. I cannot think of a better way to earn their respect.
I will also visit there about 4 times a year, and my recent visit highlighted exactly how important it is that I learn the language. I'm comfortable getting around and all, but to really be IN India I need to be able to join the conversation.
There is also a chance that, after a few years, my entire family may choose to move to India and work with the team there for a year or more.
Curr ently I am an absolute beginner. I am interested in learning the specific mix of Marathi and Hindi prevalent in Pune. I can dedicate a few hours a week, and will have a native speaker sitting in the same office as I to help me with regular exposure. I need a patient teacher - foreign languages have always been a challenge for me.

I am a Andhra pradesh native and brought up in tamil nadu. Hence i am fluent in telugu and tamil. However, i want to learn marathi as i am marrying a maharastrian. I Would like to speak to my fiances parents and Famiky in marathi and i feel that it is easier to learn the maharastrian culture if i am good at the language.
I Would like to spend Three to four hours a Week and i am willing to learn the language with great enthusiasm.
