Teaching Approach

I use a number of publications and content depending on the specific goals of the student. I make it interesting and fun and focus on areas of interest of the student in order to keep them engaged and challenged. I have 30 years in educational work teaching students of a variety of backgrounds. I also have a deep technology and creative background in digital media, graphic design and game development which also allows me to help the student grasp a wider range of vocabulary and business language.

Program Description

I utilize a fun approach to learning English. I combine games with activities along with course materials used by most successful foreign language learning companies. I tailor the material to each student that will give them the right balance of fun and engagement. The goal is to make the experience fun as well as effective so the student is highly motivated each step of the way. I'm American and will help the student also with the cultural aspects if they desire.

Teaching Experience

I currently work part-time for a language school in Korea. I am physically located in Korat, My educational work goes back nearly 30 years with many classes and tutoring with ESL students. I have also 25 years in business that has given me a keen and thorough understanding of business language and vocabulary I can also help the student master.

Teacher Training

I have been engaged in a public speaking program for the past 30 years which has given me constant learning and growth in communication and teaching. Students immediately see the value of having me as an instructor although I don' have official training certificates, my 30 years of experience and training more than make up for any lack of certificates. Students can receive a refund if they are not 110% satisfied with the learning I administer.

Frequently Asked Questions

I am very flexible and can work weekends as well as weekdays. I accept payment at the conclusion of each session based on the number of hours worked. I offer a slight discount for Skype or Voice sessions that do not require me to travel to their home or office. I also have a per-person discount for multiple students or classes. I have done several public speaking assignments for both secular and religious topics (as a minister) and have taught countless students both English and the Bible. I do not impose my beliefs however and respect all backgrounds and religious affiliations.

Cost of Lessons

I set my price after an interview with the student. I take into consideration their hour requirements, their proficiency and other factors in order to come up with a very reasonable rate that they can afford.
