I do offer tailor-made English and Turkish lessons for all levels in and around Breda, the Netherlands and Duesseldorf, Germany respectfully, according to the needs and interests of the students which I consider, are essential for a succesful result.

Program Description

After studying literae humaniores at St. John's College, Oxford and having my Dphil in philosophy, I started teaching languages. One of the major problems I have witnessed in the conventional methods of teaching foreign languages is assuming the language is merely a sum of words, almost excluding the language's cultural and historical background. I strongly believe, a language can only really be learned with its history, literature, arts and philosophy. Therefore, I try to follow a method in which literature, historical texts and debates are used rather frequently as tools of learning.

I am actually an academic (DPhil) and taught for some years at several different universities in different countries but I have concentrated on teaching languages for the last 10 years and taught English and Turkish as a foreign language in various countries from South Africa to Greece.
