Teaching Approach

Activity with a small class of 20 students of 35 minutes
I could plan many activities for this time limit. One such activity would be: (for the age group of 15 to 17 years) to divide the class in groups of 4 or 5. Each group will receive a personality´s picture. They will describe the person using various parts of speech. Say, 10 sentences each group. The groups will try to guess each other’s secret personality by posing questions. The team that guesses the answer with the fewest number of questions would be the winner.

Another example (situation)
I have been a language trainer for a group of 15 professionals who intended to travel abroad. The MNC that they worked for hired me to train them in basic language skills, focusing on day to day formal and informal communication . The challenge was the professionals were not exposed to learning foreign languages and had different cultural and linguistic backgrounds. With my motivational skills and my ability to deliver lessons through lively activities using multimedia, I was able to achieve the goal set by the enterprise.

An extra one
In our Institute a cultural activity was planned and each teacher had been assigned a specific role. On the said day, a colleague had not turned up due to some unforeseen personal issue. I stepped in and came up with an activity that was impromptu. Nevertheless, the students enjoyed this while also learning some cultural aspect from it. The day went smoothly because of my dynamism and my ability to improvise with short notice.

Program Description

My ideal job is the one that I am passionate about and the one that makes me happy. For me, hands down, it is the vocation of Teaching. This is my ideal profession and I believe I can touch the lives of young minds and at the same time ignite them. MY ROLE AS A TEACHER IS TO GIVE CHILDREN THE TOOLS WITH WHICH TO CULTIVATE THEIR OWN GARDENS OF KNOWLEDGE. TO ACCOMPLISH THIS GOAL, I WILL TEACH TO THE NEEDS OF EACH CHILD SO THAT ALL LEARNERS CAN FEEL CAPABLE AND SUCCESSFUL.
