Teaching Approach

My lessons are student-cente red with the focus being on student production of the language. That means that it is important that you use English in class, through speaking and writing the language. I can explain grammar structures and vocabulary but it is your responsibilit y to actually go out and use that language. If you're studying for the IELTS, I'll also give you some tips to help you improve your score.

Teaching Experience

I first started teaching in South Korea in 2002. Since then, I have taught at public schools, universities, and language schools in China, Thailand, Laos, and New Zealand. All told, I have more than 10 years experience of teaching English as a Second/Foreig n language.

Teacher Training

I have a BA, a language teaching certificate from a university, and a CELTA. I have also taken some teaching-rela ted classes at the masters level.

Cost of Lessons

My lesson prices vary from $22 to $55 per hour. The price depends on the type of lesson (IELTS, general English, or conversation) and location (in-person or online). Discounts are available for students who pay for 10 lessons in advance.
